Siopao Giniling


Siopao (steam bun) is one of the favourite snack back home, you can hardly find the same quality on this side of the world so I have to make in my own... 



Dough Preparation :  16 medium Buns

6 🍵 cups of dough
1 tsp Salt
2 tbsp Sugar
3 tbsp powdered Milk
8 gr. (1 pack) dried yeast 
1 cup lukewarm
1 cup Milk


Soak the Yeast on a lukewarm or room temperate Milk with Sugar
in order to activate the yeast...
(it will bubble up)

Add the rest of the ingredients

knead the dough for 20 mins..

Rest for 1 hour (warm weather)

3 hours (cold weather)



Filling of your Choice...

Minced Meat (Giniling)

400 grms Ground Meat
4 big cloves of Garlic
1 huge Onion
2 med. Potatoes
1 big carrots
2 tbsp Soya sauce
2 Tbsp Oyster sauce 
Chili power herbs and spices of your choice. 

Boil 3 eggs and mix with the rest of the fillings...


Form the dough according to your preference with the fillings of your choice...

Set to rest for 20 minutes in a squared baking sheets...

Steam for 20 minutes...
